From Observing to Predicting Risks: The Role of Analytics
- Workshop
Anticipating risks, their consequences and potential for disruption are essential for success in a period of transition. Today, huge quantities of data are available from within organisations and the external environment. Modern analytics can transform this data into actionable information.
Such analytics can provide deeper, more advanced insights into patterns, trends and themes. In this way risk managers can understand risks at a deeper level than before, predict the impact of emerging risks and prepare an organisation to adapt to shifting environments, even automatically.
Key educational message
The aim of this session is to increase risk managers’ understanding of modern analytics within organisations. It will show how technologies such as AI can help transform ERM through a transition from risk monitoring to risk prediction and anticipatory risk management strategies. Risk managers will gain insight into skills that can enhance their professional role.
