Carlo Cosimi, Head of Insurance & Risk Financing, Saipem
Why is participating to the European Risk Management Forum important to you?
Firstly, because the FERMA Forum is the most important event in our professional community in which the issues related to risk management, especially for new and emerging ones, can be shared with colleagues from different sectors and countries.
What does “from risk to resilience” mean to you?
« From risk to resilience » has a particular meaning today. We are all experiencing an unexpected pandemic, social and economic crisis never seen before. We face this situation by testing our resilience capacity every day.
Resilience is the ability to survive in business by overcoming negative impacts. The level of resilience depends on awareness, attitude and the ability to manage all risks in our organization. Therefore, without a structured and integrated risk management process, we could not be resilient for long.
You will be presenting “Tensions rising: navigating geopolitical risks”, what would you like the audience to remember after your session?
The globalized economy and multinational businesses are at center of the geopolitical chessboard. All players are exposed to geopolitical risks and must find their way to continue business by surfing between regional/local crisis and terrorist attacks.
How to be prepared to face them, what measures and behaviors to adopted to protect business continuity, the safety of employees and assets when exposed to these risks are experiences to be taken away from the audience.
